An Albanese Labor Government will inject $200 million to reduce congestion in Adelaide’s south and improve road safety by removing the Marion Road Level Crossing and upgrading Marion Road between Cross Road and Anzac Highway.

At the last election I pledged to upgrade Kesmond Reserve - and I'm delighted it's now finally happening! I lobbied the Premier Steven Marshall for this upgrade in 2018 but he refused. I’m glad someone in the Department now sees the merit of the plan.
The upgrade includes a fitness loop, multi-sport courts, nature play area, new community building, shelters, cricket and soccer nets and landscaping.

MEDIA RELEASE: Future secured for Forestville Hockey Club
A Labor Government will invest $3 million to rescue the Forestville Hockey Club and provide it with a permanent new home at Unley High School.
The funding consists of a new $2 million election commitment and $1 million already allocated by the former Labor government in 2017 to fund a synthetic pitch.

The decision means families in Marleston, Kurralta Park, Glandore, Black Forest, Clarence Park, Mile End, Hilton, Torrensville and Richmond will again have the choice to enrol their children in their nearest school.
Labor will invest $98 million to expand Adelaide Botanic High School and increase student capacity by 700.

This morning, passengers waiting for bus and trams services learnt that there had been a sudden change to services for the entire month of January with little notification.

Mr Speaker, imagine waking up on a sunny Sunday morning .. collecting your paper from your driveway .. unfurling it over a hot coffee .. to see images of your own neighbourhood – looking nothing like your own neighbourhood.
You splutter your coffee as you realise that outside your home you’ll soon have not just the 50 metre wide sunken roadway you were expecting to be built in place of the existing South Road … but additional at-grade roads .. three tunnel exits .. and most surprisingly an elevated flyover road – right in front of your home. All spanning some 120 metres wide.
