URBAN FOREST INQUIRY
SA PARLIAMENT ENVIRONMENT, RESOURCES AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
Jayne Stinson chairs the Environment, Resources and Development Committee of the SA Parliament. The Committee has launched an inquiry into the Urban Forest.
The Committee will inquire into and report on:
1. Best practice and innovative measures to assist in the selection and maintenance of site-appropriate tree species to improve the resilience of the urban forest, with a focus on trees for urban infill developments;
2. Legislative and regulatory options to improve the resilience and longevity of trees comprising the urban forest; and
3. Any other related matters.
REPORT NO.1 - 18 OCTOBER 2023
The First Report contains 15 recommendations covering tightening regulations, increasing fees and fines, setting up a new Urban Forest Fund and grants.

inquiry into access to urinary tract infection treatments
Jayne Stinson MP moved to establish a Select Committee to investigate Access to UTI Treatments.
50% of women will suffer a UTI and 5% of men. It can be a very painful condition and, if not treated quickly, can lead to hospitalisation.
The Committee was unanimously supported by the Parliament.
The Committee will inquire and report into:
(a) Barriers facing sufferers of Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) in gaining timely access to treatment
(b) The applicability of implementing Queensland’s Urinary Tract Infection Community Pharmacy Service in South Australia and
(c) Any other related matter.
FINAL REPORT
The final report and recommendations were tabled to Parliament on 27 September 2023.
