Over recent months, I’ve thoroughly consulted with the community about their views on this Code Amendment (or rezoning) for the Leader Street Bakery site.
While some take no issue with what’s proposed, there are a large number of Forestville residents who would prefer a 2-3 storey maximum on this site in future, rather than five storeys.
Our community supports local housing and retail development, but insists on ensuring high-quality planning and development decisions that will stand the test of time and add positively to our locale.
I’ve written to the decision-making body the State Planning Commission, as well as the Planning Minister and State Commission Assessment Panel (SCAP) to express the predominant views of my electorate.
