In another embarrassing backflip by the Marshall Liberal Government – Springbank Secondary College will remain open.
After a three-month-long concerted community campaign, late yesterday afternoon Minister for Education John Gardner announced the doors to the school – earmarked for closure – would stay open.
It is the latest in a string of Marshall Liberal Government backflips this week.
On Monday – just two weeks after revealing the biggest cut to public transport in South Australia’s history – Steven Marshall backflipped on the cuts after fierce public backlash.
The government also dumped its unpopular plan to privatise three Service SA centres, which was first announced in the 2018 State Budget.
